Whitney Bauck is an independent reporter who writes about the intersection of climate and culture for the New York Times, Washington Post, Financial Times, and a host of other publications. She got her start reporting on religion and the fashion industry (sometimes at the same time), and was named an environmental reporting fellow at the Metcalf Institute in 2020. Whitney grew up in Manila, Philippines and currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.
