L. Nichols (they/he) is an artist, illustrator, educator, MIT-educated engineer, and father who has been writing and drawing comics for almost 15 years. Their graphic memoir, FLOCKS, is about growing up queer/trans in rural evangelical Louisiana. It was published by Secret Acres in 2018, was named one of Publisher’s Weekly’s “Big Indie Books of Fall 2018,” and was mentioned in the NY Times Book Review article “When Comics Writers Defy Gender Norms.” L currently lives and works in the Hudson Valley region of New York with their spouse, two kids, and menagerie of pets.
