This cartoon first appeared in the July 1990 issue of Heavy Metal magazine.

"The Wall was inspired by a visit to the Berlin Wall in 1987. Back then, Trump and Harry Helmsley were in the news as real estate developers. Trump was putting his name on everything and they competed over properties. Mixing in a little German history, and various notables from the time like The Guardian Angels and Mike Tyson, everything just fell into place."
